Transfer printing works by printing designs onto high-grade substrates, which is then heat-sealed using a heat press onto a fabric. Unlike DTG printing which can only work on 100% cotton fabrics, transfer printing works on pretty much any garment fabric, including lycra sportswear, jackets, waterproof materials and polyester. There are some restrictions with nylon.
